My DS will be 3 when we go. If you were choosing between Chef Mickey's and The Garden Grill for dinner, which would you choose? Why?

    For a three-year-old I would choose Chef Mickey's.

My first reason is that Chef Mickey's is a buffet while the Garden Grill is not. I really like the food at the Garden Grill. The veggies are very fresh, some of them are even grown right there in the Land pavilion. But in my experience, the younger the child, them more likely there is to be some fussiness issue related to food. The Garden Grill is a fixed menu that is served to everyone. If you don't like it, then you're a bit out of luck. At Chef Mickey's there is a huge buffet line. The child can see what the food looks like and have some input into the selection. Also, if the child happens to not like an item that he selected, then it's no big deal to put it aside and get something else.

Chef Mickey's is also a larger restaurant with lots of hustle and bustle. If a child fusses or spills something, no one will notice. The Garden Grill is quieter and more "grown-up" in feel. Well, as grown-up as a place can feel with a giant mouse walking around ;-) Also, because of the buffet set-up at Chef Mickey's it's fine if the child wants to get up and move around a bit.

Chef Mickey's is really an all-purpose venue that works for any age and any occasion. I like the Garden Grill quite a lot; the rotating restaurant concept is totally cool. But in my opinion, this restaurant works better for a slightly older child.
