    Can we just go to the beach once we get off the Dream, without doing an excursion? We just want to sit by beach on that day and relax for a few hours, but not sure how to get to the nearest beach.

    I know my DREAM vacation with Captain Mickey always includes some beach time.  I am excited for you to spend some time in the sand and sun during your magical getaway!

    If your sailing includes a stop at Disney's Castaway Cay, this is your best bet for a beach day without the need for a Port Adventure.  When visiting Disney's private island, you can walk directly off of the ship to the beach.  Here you will find lounge chairs, umbrellas and even hammocks available for you to use during the day at no additional cost.  You can even enjoy a midday lunch at Cookie's BBQ which is included in your cruise fare.

    There are some additional ports that do offer beaches within walking distance to where the ship docks.  For example, in Nassau you can walk from the port to Junkanoo Beach.  At each port, there is also an abundance of taxis that are available for a small fare to take you to a nearby beach without booking a guided tour.

    There are also some beach day Port Adventures offered that include transportation to a beach for a few hours so that you can enjoy some time in the surf and then head back to the ship.
