when we go to Bahamas and leave the ship do we need to take our passport books with us or leave them on the ship? deciding weather or not I need a waterproof case for them, also at atlantis is there lockers available

    Ahoy Gretchen!
In just a few weeks you will be sailing into the sunset on your Disney Cruise to the Bahamas! I know your family is looking forward to warming up on the high seas after escaping the frigid Michigan temperatures. It will surely be a magical vacation filled with pixie dusted memories!
When you disembark the ship in Nassau plan on bringing your entire crew's Key to the World cards (cruise identification cards given to each Guest on arrival day at the cruise terminal) and picture IDs for anyone in your party 18 and over. When we cruise, you usually leave our passports in the safe and carry a copy of them in our beach bag and use our drivers' licenses as our picture IDs. When you leave the ship and return, you will scan your Key to the World card. Your photo ID will only be used to enter the pier area upon your return to the ship.
Atlantis does have lockers available for rent during your visit. Cash is not widely accepted at the resort so be sure to have a credit card for any purchases you plan to make including a locker rental.
I hope my answer is helpful in your planning, Gretchen! Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. If you think of anything else, please let us know!
    Have a magical day!
