Can we go to Animal Kingdom on July 4 and then use our hopper pass to go to magic kingdom for the dessert party and fireworks (if we have reservations).

Hi there, Pam thanks for visiting us here at planDisney. A summer vacation visit to Walt Disney World is almost a rite of passage. I hope you are ready because those dessert parties are usually a pretty rocking time.

Tailoring my park days are very important to me and there isn't a better way to do than adding the Park Hopper option. At least one early start at Animal Kingdom is always on my list for my vacation, with a hop to see fireworks at Magic Kingdom. This is precisely what I do so I can confidently say you can do this with no problem normally. Our nations birthday the July 4th is not a normal day and lots of folks head to see the best fireworks in the business at Magic Kingdom. The only worry I have with this plan is on certain days the parks may reach capacity and a park hopper will not guarantee you entry and neither will an Advanced Dining Reservation for the dessert parties.

If you do decide to attempt this hop on the 4th, my recommendation would be to make the hop before it gets too late. After lunch would be a safe time to make the hop, but the later and later it gets the chances for the park to reach capacity. These fireworks usually have a special patriotic theme and the guests fittingly line Main Street U.S.A. Once you arrive you will usually check-in 60 minutes before the fireworks to indulge in all the snacks and beverages before the show starts.

Hopeful for your park hop adventure to be a smooth transition on the Fourth of July. If you need any help planning leading up to your trip, please do not hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.com.

    See ya real soon,

    Jeremy A.
