Welcome aboard, Rick! Dads are always welcome here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel! In fact, we have a few Dads on the panel too! I'm so glad to hear you're looking forward to your first cruise on the Disney Wonder! There is so much magic in store for your family!
When you booked your cruise, you probably chose one of two dinner seatings, either Main Dining, which is at 5:45 or Second Seating which is at 8:15. There are also two showtimes for the fabulous Broadway-style Disney musicals each evening. Guests with the 5:45 dinner can attend the 8:30 p.m. show after dinner. Those with the 8:15 dinner can enjoy the 6:15 p.m. show. It works out so nicely so that no matter which dinner service you have, you'll never have to miss the show!
Now, if you're considering booking an amazing meal at
Palo, the Adult Exclusive restaurant onboard, you might use those show times to decide when to book your dinner there. The shows run about an hour, so if you have 7:00 Palo reservations, you can still attend the first show with your family before dropping the kids off for all sorts of fun in the clubs and heading to your reservation. Book your Palo dinner now, as times do fill up quickly!
Kids have a few options for dinner if their parents are heading to Palo. You can grab a bite at one of the quick service spots on the pool deck for them to eat beforehand, or even order from the complimentary room service menu so they can eat in the stateroom while you're getting dressed. If the kids are a bit older, they are certainly welcome to attend their regular dining seating on their own. Your servers stay with you throughout the cruise as you rotate through the three main dining restaurants, so they'll know your kiddos well by then!
I hope those details help as you continue planning, Rick! Stop back again if you have further questions! I'm happy to help!
