I was given two Disney Gift Cards by my company. I can send these two to my Apple Wallet on my phone. Can these also be used for dining expenses? Can these be used to pay for hotel incidentals? I am assuming that they would just need that bar code.

    Welcome to planDisney, Patrick!

What an awesome company you must work for! Disney Gift Cards are a perk that I would absolutely not let go to waste. And, Patrick, you will not have to!

You can easily use your e-Disney Gift Card all over Walt Disney World Resort. Simply present the gift card at the point of sale when you stock up on your Disney merchandise, or let the Cast Member type in your code when they bring the check for your meal.

You can also use a Disney Gift Card when mobile ordering your quick service meals. Since gift card numbers can not be copied and pasted from your Apple Wallet or e-gift card, I recommend that you save your gift card number and PIN in the notes section of your phone. This will make checkout for your mobile orders much faster.

If you choose to charge purchases to your MagicBand or hotel room, you can head to the front desk of your Walt Disney World resort hotel to present your Disney Gift Cards. The front desk can then refund your credit card for the transactions and apply your Disney Gift Card instead. This is my preferred method since I like the convenience of charging everything to my MagicBand. You should know that the credit card charges may take a few business days to be refunded to your account.

Patrick, in order to do online check-in, you will need to provide a credit card for incidentals, not a Disney Gift Card. While a hold will be placed on your credit card, the hold will drop off if you do not make any purchases on your account.

If you would like to make things simpler, you can combine your two gift cards into one on the Disney Gift Card website. This way you do not have to keep track of what balance is on each card. In my personal experience, the balance for the card shown on your Apple Wallet will not update as you spend your Disney cash.

I hope that this helped, Patrick!

    Happy Shopping!
