    You have given me great advice before and would like your opinion again. Have a res. at Cont. (Dec.19-26), family of four (me,dh, ds-12, dd-9), thinking of changin to WL if not too late. Stayed at WL in '08 and like it. Do I stick w/ Cont. or go to WL?

    I'm glad I could help! Its so much fun to experience the planning for upcoming trips!

    Both hotels are wonderful choices with great amenities so this is a tough choice! You really can't go wrong with either!

    But, for holiday spirit, I have to give the edge to the Wilderness Lodge. Both resorts are decorated for the Christmas holidays with lights, Christmas trees, and special displays but the Wilderness Lodge really goes over the top.

    The lodge's Christmas tree will reach nearly to the cathedral style ceiling of the lodge. Decorations on the tree include tepee lights and Native American inspired ornaments. The holidays really surround you with garland on nearly every balcony of every floor. Bell-ringers will welcome the Christmas season by playing carols in the lobby. Last year, nightly photo opportunities with Photopass photographers were capturing the holiday spirit in front of the enormous tree.

    The Contemporary is decorated as well, with gingerbread displays, trees, and an enormous Mickey wreath along one side of the resort. However, I just don't get that feeling of being surrounded by the holidays while I am there.

    The Wilderness Lodge is a bit further from the Magic Kingdom, and as you know, accessible by boat. For our family, the boat ride is a part of the resort's appeal. We feel like we're leaving the hustle and bustle of the World and retreating to our own family paradise!

    I hope this helps you decide. I REALLY love the Wilderness Lodge at the holidays but if you're unable or don't wish to change, the Contemporary will be a great spot for your holiday vacation!
