    If given the choice to visit WDW the week prior to Easter Sunday or Presidents' week, which would you choose? My husband is a teacher and I know that these are the busiest times, but we have to follow the school schedules too! :-) Thank you!

    Being a fellow New Yorker, I'm guessing that we're on a similar school schedule. We're not teachers, but since our kids are older, we really don't want to pull them out of school for vacation any more. So, we're stuck with the school vacations too. My hubby and I went around and around for months about your very question: Do we go for February break or April break? In our house, we decided on February. We've now been at WDW for six of the last seven President's weeks. Here's why:

    1. The crowds pretty thick both of these times, but they're ever so slightly less in February.

    2. The weather in New York is worse in February. By April break at home, there's usually at least a few days of the vacation that you can send the kids outside to play. But mid-winter is the worst at home. It's dark and cold and there's dirty snow. Getting into the WDW sun in February is HEAVEN in a way that it's not in April.

    3. It's hotter in April at WDW than February. My hubby doesn't love park touring when he's hot and sticky. In April, it's possible that the temperatures could already be in the high 80s. In February, we've mostly experienced mid 60s to mid 70s at WDW. The pools are heated, so the kids can still swim, and you're not going to be dripping sweat into your mouse ears.

    We've been very happy with our decision. I hope this helps you think about your issue.
