Can you give us advice on going to the Magic Kingdom for Thanksgiving? We will be in the MK on Thanksgiving Day and 2 more days after that. We're a bit nervous that we won't get in the park.

    Hi Marsha!

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World! We visited during Thanksgiving a few years ago and had a great time.

The key to enjoying the parks on a major holiday is to arrive early. If you arrive at Magic Kingdom at rope drop, your day will go such much more smoothly. Make sure to visit the park hours page ahead of your visit to see what time the park opens. The hours for November are not published yet, but they will be available about six months in advance.

It's also a good idea to plan to be at the gate at least 1/2 hour before the park opens. This will ensure you are one of the first in the park. Magic Kingdom does a gradual rope drop, so guests are let in certain areas of the park, so you will be closer to the attractions you want to visit when the park officially opens.

Make sure to make your Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR) 180 days in advance. Liberty Tree Tavern is a great choice for Thanksgiving Dinner.

    Magically,
    Stacy
