Can you give me any information on the Behind the Scenes Train Tour in MK? My husband and son (10) want to do it and it starts at 7:30. Any ideas what myself and my 12 year old daughter can do until the park opens at 9:00?

    Hi Kim,

Being an amateur Disney historian and train enthusiast, Disney's The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour is on my ever-growing list of special tours to go on. I have heard great reviews from friends who have taken it, and I am sure your husband and son would enjoy it. Like other Magic Kingdom Events & Tours, The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour does require valid theme park admission. Photography is permitted during the tour, so make sure your husband or son has a camera or smartphone for some special photo opportunities.

If you and your daughter plan to travel over to the Magic Kingdom area when your husband and son go for their tour, you could walk over to Disney's Contemporary Resort. You can enjoy a quick breakfast the Contempo Café and explore the resort before heading back over to the Magic Kingdom. The Downtown Disney area may also be open before 9:00 a.m. Our family loves visiting Downtown Disney with so many shopping, dining, and entertainment options

Please let me know if I can assist you with any other questions about your next visit to Walt Disney World.

    Have a magical day!
