Can you give my an idea of how long a wait we would have to get on the Character In Flight at DD in the evening?

    Hi Linda,

I wish I could give you a firm answer, but the reality is "it depends." I have been at Downtown Disney in the evening and seen the wait for the Characters in Flight balloon be anywhere from nothing up to about an hour.

The popularity of Characters in Flight depends on a number of factors such as the weather (a big impact on crowd levels), the time of year of your visit, and the time of day. Even in the evening, there could be a big difference at 7:00 p.m. vs. 10:00 p.m.

As an example, I rode Characters in Flight last July at about 6:00 p.m. on a beautiful day. We waited about 20 minutes. However, what you experience could be substantially different.
