Welcome to planDisney, Stephanie!
What a wonderful fairy grandparent you are! By giving the gift of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you are giving your grandchildren the gift of priceless family memories. There really is nothing more special.
Stephanie, Walt Disney World Resort is not currently mailing out any brochures, but I do have a few ideas to help you plan a magical Christmas morning.
My kids generally know when our vacations are planned, but I did manage to surprise them once. I bought a bag (a backpack or drawstring bag would work well) and filled it to the brim with "Disney supplies."
Included in my bag was a
MagicBand, poncho, t-shirt with their favorite character,
autograph book and pen, and a few things to play with on the trip. If your grandchildren are a little older, you could also include a small gift card to use on a special something once they arrive.
If you want to add an extra dose of pixie dust, you could even hop onto your computer and make a "admit one" ticket to Walt Disney World Resort.
Once they figure out where they are going, I am sure that they will be filled with so many questions! This is where I turn to YouTube and the
Walt Disney World Resort website. I love to show my kids videos of attractions and parades leading up to the trip. Not only does it get them extra excited, but I found that by showing my kids videos, they know what to expect on attractions, leading to a little less nervousness, especially for my youngest who isn't quite into thrills.
You can also show them the official website and let them pick their must-dos. They could pick a
meal, a park that they want to visit, or even
a few rides that they want to do as soon as they arrive at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
I hope that this gave you some ideas, Stephanie!
See you real soon!
