    Hi Lydia,

I was lucky enough to be in the UK about six weeks ago. If you have half as good a time at WDW as I had in London, then you'll be in for a fabulous holiday/vacation. While I was in London, I picked up at Waterstone's a copy of Brit Guide Orlando and Walt Disney World. This is a nice guide to WDW from a UK perspective, perhaps you could wrap up a copy as a gift for your friends with a nice note about how much you're looking forward to your trip.

If you want to try something a bit more festive, how about planning a Disney movie night to get you in the mood. Rent DVDs of Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Lion King, and my new favorite, Enchanted. Have your friends over and make some Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes for a snack while you watch.

Or you could make some cute t-shirts for you to all wear together on your trip. A local office supply store will have iron-on transfer paper, just create a fun message like "We're Going to Disney World," print it out and apply it to the shirts. This would make for some great photos with the characters.

Another nice treat would be a "travel survival kit" gift bag for your friends. Get a small tote and fill it with magazines, candy, and puzzle books for the flight. You could make your own word search puzzle with your names and the names of the rides you want to experience together.

These are just a few random ideas off the top of my head. I think it's so lovely that you want to surprise your friends. I'm sure that anything you do that's heartfelt will be truly cherished. You're friends are lucky to be traveling with someone as thoughtful as you.
