Hi, my girlfriend and I are wanting to plan a vacation to the Aulani Resort in January 2019. When Is the earliest we can book rooms there? The booking website does not allow us to even look at prices or rooms available past December 2018 yet. Thank you!

    Hiya, Collin!

What a beautiful vacation you're planning. Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, is positively stunning. The beaches are gorgeous, the sunsets spectacular, and there are activities galore - even if your favorite activity is sitting in the sun on the beach.

If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, your ability to book a room at Aulani is based on whether or not you are an owner at that resort. If you are (meaning your Disney Vacation Club contract is at Aulani), you can book a resort room there 11 months prior to the first day of your arrival. If you are a Disney Vacation Club member but NOT an Aulani owner, you can book 7 months in advance of your arrival.

If you are using DVC points from another member, you can book based on their status as either Aulani owners or non-owners. The 11 month or 7 month booking windows apply in that case.

If you are a non-DVC owner, the general rule is you can book 499 days in advance for a regular hotel room. However, Aulani doesn't always release dates that far in advance. They sometimes delay opening up dates to  determine special offers and other factors that might influence room rates and availability for the year.

Villas are subject to the 11 month booking window, even if you are not a DVC member.

I hope your happy Hawaiian vacation goes off without a hitch!
