My girlfriend and I are visiting WDW in Jan. 09. I thought it would be a great time to propose to her. I would like to do it during a firework show but I am open to ideas. Any suggestion?

This is the most wonderful question ever. Your girlfriend is lucky to have such a special Prince Charming in her life! WDW is a magical place for a proposal; there are countless romantic places to choose from. The fireworks proposal is a lovely. There's nothing more memorable than your own light show in the sky. If you're interested in more privacy, you could book a private fireworks cruise or watch the fireworks from a window at the California Grill and propose there.

My 11-year-old daughter is now screaming, "Make him take her to Victoria and Alberts. That's where I'd want my proposal. It's the best place." Those are strong words from a kid who's never been kissed (I think? I hope?), but she does have a point. V&A's is the premiere restaurant at WDW. They help several potential grooms arrange proposals every week. Another popular restaurant for proposals is Cinderella's Royal Table. They can bring out the ring in an engraved glass slipper. Both of these experiences can be arranged through Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE.

I myself might prefer something a bit more off-the-beaten-path. Does she have a favorite WDW attraction? The Carousel would be a perfect proposal spot. Soarin' at Epcot would also make a lovely place to propose. Just don't try getting down on one knee there :-)

My hubby piped in with an idea about the countries at Epcot. He thinks you should propose in a country that you might visit on a honeymoon. For example, go to the Mexico pavilion and make a joke like wouldn't Mexico be a great place for a honeymoon and then pull out a ring to make it real.

Or take a walk along the beach between the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian and propose to her in front of the Wedding Pavilion. I could go on and on, but I have limited space here. And truly, it doesn't matter where you propose. Just tell her you love her and the rest will take care of itself.

All the best to you as you make your memories that will last a lifetime.
