My girlfriend and I are planning a Disneyworld Vacation. What on-site resort is best for a young couple?

    Hi Dave,

I'm so excited to hear that you and your girlfriend are planning a trip to Walt Disney World!  There are lots of great on-property resort options for a young couple, but your final choice might depend on your budget and what amenities are important to you.  In general, I'd suggest choosing a Moderate Resort Hotel or Deluxe Resort Hotel if your budget allows.  These resorts tend to feel like they're themed more for adults than for children or families, and they have some nice amenities, like nicer pool areas, larger rooms, table service restaurants and lounges at the resort.

My recommendation for you would be Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.  This is one of the smaller resorts, so it has an intimate feel and is easy to navigate.  The theming is all about New Orleans charm, complete with cobblestone streets, wrought iron balconies and romantic horse-drawn carriage rides.  It has a fabulous and festive pool area, Doubloon Lagoon, and nearby you'll find both a poolside bar and a lounge in the main building.  In terms of dining options, French Quarter has a great food court where you can grab a quick bite, or you can stroll over to nearby Riverside for Boatwright's, a table service restaurant.  If you want to head to Downtown Disney for some great dining, shopping or entertainment, it's just a short boat ride away along the Sassagoula River.

I hope that helps with your vacation planning, Dave, but please let me know if you have any other questions.
