Hello! My girlfriend and I are new Annual Passholders and we have plans to come back to WDW in May. Since the resort discounts are not available that far in advance, can we book a hotel reservation and be entitled to our discounts when they are announced?

Welcome to the Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder family, Robert, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, too!

How exciting that you have another Walt Disney World Resort vacation on the horizon! I always find that the easiest way to beat the post-Disney vacation blues is to go ahead and book the next one. Since you already know when you’d like to return, I would definitely suggest you go ahead and book your official Walt Disney World Resort hotel room. That said, you might not be guaranteed a discount as your travel date approaches. The current Special Offers for Annual Passholders in 2020 are only valid until April 25. As with most Special Offers, these discounted stays are only good for select nights from Jan. 1 until April 25, are only applicable at certain Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and length of stay requirements may apply. Additionally, there are only a limited number of rooms available for this offer (as is the case with most Special Offers).

If you go ahead and book your preferred Resort hotel on your preferred dates, you will be able to check whether or not any Special Offers apply as your check-in date approaches. After logging into the Special Offers page using your My Disney Experience credentials, you’ll see a gray button with a link that will allow you to see if you can apply a special offer to an existing reservation.

In the meantime, please let us know if you have any additional questions about being a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder. You can also call the dedicated Annual Passholder helpline with questions, too.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Robert. We hope to see you again real soon.
