I have a 5 YO girl & 2 YO son & we will be in Orlando for half a day on Oct 21 .Where is the best place to visit to see some of the characters (Ariel, Minnie) & catch some of the fire works or events that day without having to spend so much $?

    Dear Mojdeh,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I know that it can be challenging to do all that you and your family want to do on such a short timeline and keeping costs in mind.

There are absolutely ways to enjoy both characters and fireworks without purchasing theme park tickets.

For Ariel, I recommend the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno! No park admission required and you will have plenty of time to meet and greet "under the sea."

Minnie can be found at Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort, where Mickey's main squeeze can spend plenty of time with your family without stepping into the theme parks.

As for the fireworks, my absolute favorite view of Happily Ever After is from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I recommend picking up a Dole Whip at the Pineapple Lanai and stretching out on some beach chairs for the duration of the show. It's such a lovely experience!

    Have a magical vacation!
