Hello, I will be ging to Disney world for the first time in April with my husband and my 4 year old. I read somewhere that if you stay at a Disney resort hotel, you could have priority seating in the restaurants? If this is correct how can I request it?

Hi, Claudia!  The dining reservations at Walt Disney World used to be called Priority Seatings - which really just meant that you would call in and make a "reservation", and that gave you priority for the next available table for your party size as close to your priority seating time as possible.

The reservations are now called Advanced Dining Reservations, and anyone can make them, whether you are a Walt Disney World resort guest or not.  The advantage you have as a Walt Disney World resort guest comes with the timing.  Anyone can make an advanced dining reservation at 180 days in advance.  If you are a resort guest, you can make your reservations for 180 days in advance, plus up to ten days into your vacation.  This saves you from having to call in every day to try and secure dining reservations for your upcoming trip.

You can make your dining reservations by calling 407-939-3463 (407-WDW-DINE), or you can make them online by going HERE.  I strongly recommend making reservations for the dining experiences you really don't want to miss.  Character meals are very popular, and signature dining experiences, such at the California Grill, are very popular as well.

    Have a great vacation!
