I am gifting WDW to my best friend and her 6 yr old son in NC for their birthdays. Plane tickets, hotel, park, and I think gift card for meals and spending money. Is the Movies resort nice for the kid?. What is the best way to gift it without exact dates?

Hi Christine! Wow, what a kind and generous gift! If you're ever in the market for a second best friend in North Carolina, I'm available! Since you're not sure exactly when your friend will travel to Walt Disney World, you might want to consider giving her a Disney Gift Card. The Disney Gift Card can be used to purchase vacation packages, including the resort, the park tickets, the Dining Plan, and even the airfare, and you can include spending money on it for use at Disney World. You can purchase a Gift Card with a value up to $1500 at your local Disney Store.

The All-Star Movies resort is popular with families of young children, who love the giant icons from Disney movies on the property. If your friend's son is a Toy Story fan, All-Star Movies is definitely a great pick! The rooms aren't fancy, but they're adequate, and the resort generally gets good reviews from travelers, who appreciate the budget pricing and the perks of being on Disney property. The Pop Century resort is also a great choice in the value category. The Pop Century is a little newer than the All-Star Movies, and it doesn't share transportation with other resorts, which sometimes makes traveling to the parks a little quicker. I bet your friend and her son will be spending all of their time in the parks rather than their hotel room, so they'll be happy with either of those resorts!

Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! I'm happy to help!
