I am gifting my 8yo daughter with a trip to Disney World for Christmas; is there some sort of official welcome video, qrl code, or digital card that could be cued up to reveal on Christmas Morning?

    Hello Daniel!

Welcome to planDisney! You are such a lovely dad who not only is gifting a trip to Walt Disney World Resort to your little one but also thinking of ways to make it super special even from the beginning! Your daughter will have such a special Christmas morning when she finds out what you got her!

As best as I can determine, there is no official video that could work for your situation that is available right now. Over the years, Walt Disney World Resort has had various videos and surprises that you could have ordered. However, they were only for a limited time. May I suggest some other options that are online right now? While the 50th Anniversary has ended, the video promoting the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary Celebration still stirs my heartstrings. A fun video that I wanted to share could be "What's a Walt Disney World Thrill Feel Like?." Another more exciting idea is something I had a chance to do with my family. I surprised my kids and nephews last year with a trip to Walt Disney World Resort and we did it through a scavenger hunt. I printed riddles that had them running all over the house to find the next set of puzzles. While they were in a far corner of the house I brought out a large box filled with matching t-shirts, Disney-themed water bottles, and balloons. I placed it in the scavenger hunt starting location and when they finally returned to where I wanted them and opened it there was a large sign inside that announced "You're going to Walt Disney World!" It was very exciting and helped extend the fun quite a bit as the kids loved running around trying to solve the puzzle. I don't want you to think I was creative enough to make all the riddles myself but googled "Disney scavenger hunt" and found so many ideas. I highly recommend trying something like this. Did you know that you can order personalized shirts from ShopDisney? I'm a big fan of matching shirts as the photos just look so great when we stand together.

My friends at planDisney have an extensive video library with some great planning videos that may be fun to watch as you start thinking about where you will be in the next few weeks. Make sure to consider purchasing Memory Maker as I have found it to be a great way to include everyone in the photo! I also love the special magic shots that surprise me when I look back on my photos. You don't want to miss a smile and memory on this special trip! (Also, may as well let those shirts get some attention!)

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions let us know!

    Happy Planning!
