Hello there, Jaime, and welcome to planDisney!
We're so glad that you came to us with your question. Wow, what an incredible gift you were given! Congratulations on becoming a Magic Key Holder! I've been a part of the program since it began and it's made me so happy to be able to return to the Disneyland Resort and experience the magic so many times this year. Be sure to check out all the
benefits and discounts that you now get as a Magic Key Holder.
The name that is listed on your
Magic Key does not have to match your name because they do not check or verify ID for Magic Keys. The first time you use your Pass to enter a Park, the Cast Members will take a photo of you which will be attached to your Magic Key. This photo will be used to verify that the same person is using the Magic Key but you do not need to show ID. However, if you really want to correct your name in Disney's system (which I completely understand), you will need to call a Cast Member at the
Magic Key Holders phone line. After all, the Cast Members often greet you by name when you enter, which makes me feel so welcome there!
Now that you're a Magic Key Holder, it's time to explore all the magic that comes with it! When you visit the Parks, check out the Magic Key Portal in the
Disneyland Mobile App. You never know when you might find a special souvenir or offer that you'd love. And did you know that there's a restaurant in Disney California Adventure just for us? That's right, we can make reservations at the
Magic Key Terrace and host other guests to a wonderful meal on the second story of the Golden Vine Winery. Finally, if you're looking to attend
Oogie Boogie Bash this year, know that tickets will go on sale for Magic Key Holders first on June 27!
Jaime, congrats again and I wish you a year full of magic and wonder! If you need any further tips or advice on visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, please feel free to swing on by again anytime! We'd be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day!
