Hiya, Ira!
Welcome to planDisney! Oh Boy, how wonderful you are thinking of giving the gift of magical memories to someone special. It's hard to gift magic and wonder unless you are a Fairy Godmother, but giving the gift of a Disney vacation is pretty close indeed.
Ira, one of the easiest ways to give the gift of Disney would be through
Disney Gift Cards. You can purchase them in different amounts,
up to a maximum of $1000 loaded per card (though if you purchase them through
shopDisney, the maximum amount you can purchase is $500 per card,) and you can purchase multiple gift cards at this denomination. This way, your special recipient could book the vacation of their dreams directly.
If you would like to book the vacation for them, you can book a
Disney Resort Hotel stay at either
Disneyland or
Walt Disney World. Then, you can purchase theme park tickets at either Disneyland or Walt Disney World, depending on which location they are visiting. The theme park tickets can be purchased as gifts. The only tricky part with doing it this way is you would need to know the dates of the vacation. If you book a vacation at Disneyland, either you or the recipient would also need to make theme park reservations for the same dates as their theme park tickets. If you book at Walt Disney World Resort, if the theme park visit is after January 9th, you would NOT need theme park reservations for date-based tickets for January 9th, 2024, or later.
So, you could call the Disney Vacation Package team at
Disneyland Resort or
Walt Disney World Resort, depending on which location you want to book the vacation for your recipient. As I mentioned above, the alternative would be to give the cost of the Disney Resort and theme park tickets in the form of Disney gift cards.
I hope this helps you, Ira. If you have any further Disney planning questions, stop back and see us and we will be so happy to help you.
See ya real soon,
Keri
