Hei hei there, Alan.
Welcome to planDisney! You'll be off on a jolly holiday at
Walt Disney World Resort in just two weeks' time. Can you believe it? As if just being at The Most Magical Place on Earth in general isn't exciting enough, you will also be here during the
50th Anniversary Celebration AND the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts - cue the happy dancing!
I'm glad to hEAR you plan on using
Disney Gift Cards during your trip, because they're oh-so easy to use throughout Walt Disney World Resort. My husband and I always take Disney Gift Cards to pay for food, fun, and souvenirs on our vacations back "home." Did you know you can even set up an account on the
Disney Gift Card website using your Disney account login credentials? It's true! You can consolidate smaller denomination gift cards onto one gift card and even view your transaction history from your account once you do. You should check it out!
A credit card is required when booking an advanced dining reservation and merely acts as a place holder. If you cancel your dining reservation after the designated cancellation period or don't show up for your dining reservation at all,
your credit card will be charged a small per-person cancellation fee, but you won't be forced to use that credit card to pay for your meal. You will still be able to use your Disney Gift Cards or any other accepted payment method to pay for your meal at the restaurant.
Did you know you can also use your Disney Gift Cards to pay for a
Mobile Food & Beverage Order in your
My Disney Experience App? During the checkout process, you can use the credit card saved to your profile, or you can input another accepted form of payment instead.
Alan, Disney Gift Cards are accepted at most locations on Walt Disney World Resort property. I hope this new knowledge brings you some peace of mind and allows you to focus on counting down to your upcoming adventure. Enjoy every magical moment!
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
