    Do you get a gift card if you do not ask for housekeeping, and clean your own room at a Disney value resort like Art of Animation?

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Eboney! I am so happy you stopped by.  

    Eboney, I believe that you are talking about the Service Your Way program. This awesome program allows guests at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels to opt-out of housekeeping services for the duration of their stay in exchange for a gift card. If you are anything like me, I put the do not disturb hangar on our hotel door the second that I arrive, so this is a great way to earn a little extra money for a service that I don't really use. While you will not have your room cleaned or your beds made during your stay, if you are in need of additional toiletry items or towels during your stay, simply call housekeeping from your in-room phone, and they will provide them for you. 

    Eboney, if you are staying more than 2-nights at any moderate or value resort, including Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you are eligible for Disney's Service your Way! 

    You do need to sign up for Service Your Way in advance either during online check-in or at your hotel's front desk. Once you check-in, you will then receive a Disney Gift Card eGift. Currently, the gift card amount is $10 per night, minus the first night of your stay. So if you were staying for 7 nights, you would receive a $60 gift card. Please note that the terms and conditions of this offer are always subject to change.
