When getting a ticket off base do you need a military ID for a one day ticket ? In Orlando

Magical Greetings, Jaquan! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question, I am happy to help!

There are two Walt Disney World Resort ticket offers available for service members and their families. Let's "dig a little deeper" and talk about both!

    • Magic Your Way Tickets: These tickets are available at military installations and through Shades of Green Resort. These tickets are "active" when purchased, meaning you do not need to present military ID and stop at Guest Relations when you arrive at your theme park. These tickets do need theme park pass reservations before entering. Jaquan, these are the tickets you are talking about!
    • Disney Military Salute Tickets: These tickets can be purchased through Shades of Green or a military base. These tickets come in 4, 5, or 6-day increments and are considered "inactive" before entering the theme parks. You do have to stop at Guest Relations to activate these tickets. You also have to make theme park pass reservations for this ticket type.

For both ticket types, you can link tickets ahead of your visit by downloading the My Disney Experience phone app. Open the app, and select the "☰" icon. Select "Tickets and Passes" and press the + button on the top right corner to begin linking tickets.

I hope all of this information helped you today, Jaquan! Thank you for visiting us at planDisney again. If you have other questions before you visit, send them to me. We look forward to having you "be our guest" at Walt Disney World soon!

    Magic Awaits!
