Welcome aboard, Marycelis! My daughter and I just returned from a girls' getaway cruise on the Disney Wonder and it was fabulous!
My daughter is 11 and loves Descendants too, so I know how popular it is! While those characters don't appear for Meet and Greets onboard, there were some fun Descendants-themed activities in Edge when we sailed.
Edge is the Youth Club for ages 11 - 14, however, with parental permission, a mature 10-year old is allowed to join in too. Just swing by Edge during Open House hours that first day onboard, and chat with the counselors about allowing your daughter to join in. You can sign a permission form. Just know that in Edge, there is no parental sign in and out, so your daughter can come and go as she pleases without you checking her out. We have rules for my daughter about leaving the club, and making sure to let us know when she leaves and where she's going, by checking in through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App's chat and text feature. If your daughter doesn't have a mobile device, she can always keep a
Wave Phone with her to keep in touch with you too.
Back to the Descendants activities... My daughter loved the Descendant's Den DJ Spin Off where the tweens got together to sing along and dance while playing DJ with the music from the Descendants movies. It was a really popular activity! One of the two movies was played on the Funnel Vision screens above Goofy's Pool when we were onboard too, so watch your Navigator to find out when that will take place!
Have a fun cruise, Marycelis!
