Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amanda!
I am so excited that you are dreaming up a visit to my favorite island oasis,
Castaway Cay! The best part about cruising to the
Bahamas is stopping at Disney's private island.
I have been fortunate enough to spend some of my Castaway Cay days in a private cabana. For my family, the cost associated is well worth the experience. Although a cabana is not necessary for your pirate crew of six to enjoy your time on the island, it certainly is a great way to spend your day!
Booking a cabana
Port Adventure on Castaway Cay includes use of your own private retreat with great seating, shade and a hammock. The cabana will be stocked with complimentary snacks, unlimited soda and fruit. The cost also covers use of snorkel equipment, water floats and tubes, sand toys and one hour of bike rental.
All of the amenities offered with a private cabana make it extremely popular and they do book quickly. If you are unable to reserve a cabana once your advance booking window opens, continue to check back as they can become available prior to your sailing. Once onboard the
ship, you can also visit the
Port Adventures Desk to add your name to a waiting list in the event a cabana becomes available during your sailing.
Castaway Cay is perfect no matter how you enjoy your time there. If you are unable to reserve a private cabana, rest assured knowing that there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas for all guests on the beach!
Enjoy planning your magical getaway. Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any additional questions you have as you plan your adventure.
Bon voyage! Angie
