We are getting ready to leave for our Disney vacation but it occurs to me its going to be very hot! What do you suggest while in the parks to keep me and my kids cool?

You are right, Florida is hot in the summer and the heat and humidity can especially affect little ones.

Disney sells water bottles with fans attached, which are great for spraying you and your kids to keep cool. You can also bring a squirt bottle from home, which you can buy at the dollar store, and just occasionally squirt yourself to stay cool.

There are also several cool zones throughout the parks that spray a cool water mist. It is so refreshing because it isn't enough water to soak you and make you feel uncomfortable, but it is just enough to cool you off. Epcot also has fun water spray zones that little ones love to splash around and play in. They will definitely get soaking wet in those, so consider bringing a swimsuit for them to change into when playing in this area.

Take advantage of Extra Magic Hours if you are staying on site and arrive at the parks early to avoid the heat. You can also go back to your room during the hot afternoon hours and come back in the evening to avoid the middle of the day sun.

I suggest bringing your own refillable water bottle to the parks so you can refill at the water fountains or quick service dining locations to stay hydrated. You can also buy bottled water throughout the park, but I like to have both on hand to ensure everyone in my family stays hydrated.

The waterparks and pools at the resort are also a fun and great way to stay cool!

    Have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
