Ahoy, Emily!
I'm so excited to hear you are about to embark on a magical adventure with Disney Cruise Line this Friday! I remember the excitement my family was feeling just before our first voyage many years ago. In fact, my children were about the same ages as yours on that cruise, and I was worried about keeping my little one from getting in the pool. He loved the pool at home, so I planned ahead and brought some of his favorite small pool toys to keep him happy in the splash area. He had a small sand pail, a toy boat and some squirt toys that helped keep him busy.
Nemo's Reef is a very entertaining area I think both your young sailors will enjoy together. This was the spot my kiddos spent a lot of their time on our first Disney Dream sailing because they loved all the interactive water features and being in the shade. If the older one wants to swim in
Mickey's Pool, your little one can sit with you by the pool and watch the Disney movie being shown on the Funnel Vision. An ice cream cone from
Eye Scream is a great distraction as well. The whole family will be able to swim together when you get to the beach on
Castaway Cay! The water in the lagoon is calm and shallow, so it's perfect for splashing around together.
Thank you for stopping by with your question, Emily. I hope my suggestions help your kiddos have a splashtacular time on your vacation!
Bon Voyage!
Nancy
