We are getting ready for our first Disney Cruise on the Fantasy departing in just a couple of weeks. Can you tell me if we need to bring lanyards for our kids to wear, and if so, what kind would you recommend (do they need to be able to hold a room key)?

Ahoy there Scott!
The final countdown is on and the Disney Fantasy awaits you! I know you are excited about embarking this amazing vessel on your Caribbean adventure! I've sailed on this beauty, and you are in for a vacation of a lifetime! My kids do wear lanyards onboard to keep their "Key to the World" card safe and easy to access. I recommend one with a pouch that has a zipper or sealable pouch. They will have them for sale on the ship in Mickey's Mainsail but the shops do not open until the ship sets sail at 5:00pm. If you don't want to wait, you can always purchase some at Disneystore.com before you depart.
