Getting ready for Disney 24 days to go staying at AKL.This is our first trip do you have any suggestions for a count down until we leave. .Kids ages 4&6, very excited about seeing Mickey for the first time. Thanks for all your wonderful advice.

    Hi Patty,

My girls love doing a countdown to their Disney trip, especially when they were little as they could actually see how long they had left. What I have done in the past is to cut out lots of different coloured Mickey Heads and numbered them, then I simply put them all on a big piece of decorated card and we pulled off a Mickey Head each day.

My friend recently made a fabulous countdown out of paper rings, she cut strips of paper, decorated them with Disney stickers, made them into a hoop and then strung them together like you do for Christmas decorations. She has only 6 days left till her trip and her little boy has loved pulling a hoop off each day!

Another idea is to buy some cheap Disney stickers and your children can add a Disney sticker to a calendar each day, maybe draw a big Mickey Head on the day you leave.

There are so many ways you could do a countdown, I'm sure your children will love whatever you do and they may even come up with a fantastic idea of their own!

    Have a great trip,

    Jo
