Welcome aboard, Michele! Just a few more weeks until you head out to sea with Captain Mickey on the Fantasy! It sounds like your family is really looking forward to
Pirate Night.
Disney Cruise Line has some pirate costumes and accessories onboard, but while there are some adult sizes, I'd say the majority of the full costumes are children's sizes. If you or your mom wants to go all out in pirate gear, just grab a costume at home, or order one online to pack and bring with you. My family has pirate costumes that we bring to wear, but they're not all from Disney. It doesn't matter! You'll see folks wearing anything from full costumes to just jeans and a pirate t-shirt. Some guests will simply wear their regular cruise casual wear with the Mickey's Pirates IN the Caribbean bandana that all guests receive that night. So, wear what makes your family feel most comfortable!
Disneystore.com offers some adult sized pirate shirts that go up to size XXL, so that's something to check out too! And if you happen to be visiting the parks at Walt Disney World before you set sail, you'll find lots of other pirate gear to try out.
If you have any kids in your group, be sure to check out the Pirates League in the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique onboard, where kids can make reservations for a full pirate makeover! My son became Captain Jack Sparrow there and loved every moment, and we have the best photos of him that night! Make your reservations online during online check-in, as slots fill quickly!
I hope that helps as you count down these last few weeks until you set sail for a swashbuckling good time, Michele! Happy cruising!
