Sharon,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
I too am a member of the fear of heights club! My oldest teen and I are often exploring for other adventures when my wife and youngest daughter are off on their high-rise escapades.
Disney does list the
Disney Skyliner as the method of transportation from
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to both
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. No standard bus service is provided, except when inclement weather or planned Skyliner maintenance leads to the Skyliner being unavailable.
I am not going to tell you not to have a fear of heights, as I share that experience. I can report that my daughter and I have had no problem with riding the Skyliner. In fact, for both of us, it has become a preferred mode of transportation.
Disney's Pop Century Resort, which is also on the Skyliner routes, has become one of my preferred places to stay at Walt Disney World.
RECOMMENDATIONI am assuming you have never ridden the Skyliner to know if you are OK with the experience or not. So rather than take a chance on it, I would suggest you simply stay at one of the other resorts. You don't want to stay there, hoping you will be all right with the ride, and possibly have a less-than-stellar vacation experience. Amongst the moderate resorts, I love
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort for the enhanced array of dining options, as well as the relaxed elegance of the Gran Destino Tower. The two Port Orleans resorts,
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter are great for their boat access to Disney Springs.
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
Doug
