Hi Jessi!
Welcome to plan Disney! We often travel with extended family and friends so traveling with big groups is one of my specialties! I am thinking, based on your travel date, that you may have already made your
Advance Dining Reservations, but I want to be sure you get an answer in case you still need assistance, or another Guest has the same question.
With current safety guidelines, most resort and theme park dining locations are not seating parties larger than 6. You will need to divide your party up into two tables of probably 5 and 4. Two adults with separate
My Disney Experience Accounts will need to try to book two tables at the same time, or at least within 15 minutes of each other, because the system will not allow one My Disney Experience Account to book two tables at the same time. We are taking 11 this July and my husband and I were quite the sight, sitting at the kitchen table, bleary-eyed at 6 AM with coffee and laptops trying to snag tables at the same time. For the most part, we had good luck, especially toward the end of the trip.
If you are successful in booking two tables at similar times, you can try to request tables near one another. Please know this is only a request, and you should arrive a bit early and ask the Cast Member at the podium if it will be possible. The Cast Members will do their very best, but depending on availability, and social distancing guidelines, you may not be seated together, so be prepared for that situation.
Many dining locations are still temporarily closed, and to my knowledge, the only location offering breakfast in the parks that is open before park hours is
Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While reservations aren’t usually offered after the parks are closed, you will find reservation times offered up to, or close to closing time. This can be the perfect way to end your day in the theme park, as you may get to be some of the last Guests to exit the park that night.
I hope you were successful in making some of your desired reservations, Jessi. If you didn’t find everything you were looking for, keep checking My Disney Experience regularly. Other Guests do cancel, especially in the days leading up to the reservation. Maybe you’ll get some pixie dust and snag a cancelation!
Bon Appetit!
