Hello Melissa!
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you will be visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort for a cheer competition. This is such an exciting event and experience for kids from around the country! Some of my favorite memories are of traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with my musical group as a middle schooler and teen.
Children ages 3 and up do need a
Disney Theme Park Ticket to enter the parks. If they will be visiting more than one theme park in a day, then their ticket will need the
Park Hopper Option on it. Disney Theme Park Tickets are priced for those 10 years and up, and there is a lower-priced ticket available for children ages 3 to 9.
If you are looking at the
Theme Park Ticket Page, and select one ticket, it will automatically give you the price for an adult ticket. If you continue to scroll down to the bottom of the page, you’ll see a spot where you can select how many adult and how many child tickets you need, and you can adjust these specifics to see the different prices. Park Hopping is a great option, but you can still have a truly magical visit if you were on a budget and decided not to use that feature. We often skip Park Hopper and prefer to stay for more days.
Whichever you choose, I hope your family has a magical visit and I’m sending your cheer kid pixie dust for a great competition!
