We're getting so excited for our visit to Disney, right around the corner! We've planned to visit Animal Kingdom for Extra Magic Hours and I'm wondering what will be open during that extra hour?

    Greetings Jamie!

It looks like you are counting down the sleeps to your upcoming vacation, you must be so excited! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is my absolute favorite Theme Park! From the exotic animals to the fantastic live performances, I could easily spend my entire vacation there.

I think you are super smart to take advantage of being a Resort Guest and use your Extra Magic Hours. You will find that being one of the select few in the Park will give you shorter wait times and therefore MORE time to do MORE things!

You can find a list of the attractions that are open during morning Extra Magic Hours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park here. When I look at the list, a couple of them pop out to me as must-dos! Arrive at the Park early and head straight to Avatar Flight of Passage where you will enjoy an exhilarating adventure on the back of a banshee. Once you have landed, take a sail on Na’vi River Journey.

When you finish in Pandora - The Land of Avatar, head over to Kilimanjaro Safaris. I love an early morning safari as the animals are usually a bit more lively in the fresh morning air. Once your savanna exploration is done, see if you can find the Yeti on Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.

By the time you are done, you will be ready for a snack. Finish off your morning with a Dole Whip at Tamu Tamu Refreshments (the adults can even have it with Rum - YUM!).

    Asante Sana!
