We will be getting DDP for Sept 2013 whether its introduced as Free or not. Would you recommend booking DDP w/ the package and call to see if we can take the charge off if free is announced? Or not book DDP at this time and add it later IF announced?

    Hi Karri!

I am a huge fan of the Disney Dining Plan and love the ability to enjoy the many cuisines available at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Many guests, including myself, have planned vacations around the time and/or hope that a Free Dining promotion might be offered!

Should you book your WDW vacation now, with Deluxe Dining Plan, and a Free dining offer be released which coincides with your time frame, you can call Disney reservations and have them change your reservation to reflect the free dining offer.  My recommendation would be to book your vacation package sans dining plan and add it when (or if) they release a free dining promotion as your pricing won't change and you won't need to worry about upgrading (if at a value).

Keep an eye on the Special Offers page to see if any promotion is released!

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Malanie, New York

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
