    I am going to be getting my daughter and her friend gift cards to purchase food. Can a gift card be used at the Rain Forest Café (AK or DTD)? What about T-REX? Can gift cards be used at snack carts or do they have to pay cash??

    Hi Debra!

    I love using Disney Gift Cards when we visit Walt Disney World Resort. During our family's most recent visit, Disney Gift Cards were basically the only form of payment we used at the theme parks and at our Disney Resort hotel. I never had any trouble using our gift cards to pay for meals or snacks. In fact, we used a gift card to pay for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe® at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

    According to the official DisneyGiftCard.com website, "The Disney Gift Card can be used...at Disney owned and operated merchandise, dining and recreation locations where credit cards are currently accepted. Some carts, and other outdoor Merchandise vendors may not be able to accept the gift card." Also, "The Disney Gift Card also offers a convenient option to shop and dine at participating locations throughout the Downtown Disney® Area."
