Hello! We are getting annual passes next year for Disney World! SUPER EXCITED. However, while on the website I see that it says children 3 and under do not need a pass but there is an option for ages 3-9 ticket selections? He is 3 y/o does he need a pass?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ashley! I’m super excited to know that you will become a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder this coming year! As a Florida Resident myself, I know you’re going to get so much use out of your passes! There are magical events for passholders to enjoy all year long!

Mousketeers under the age of three are Mickey’s special guests. They don’t need a valid theme park ticket or annual pass to enter the parks and they can share meals with adults at any table service restaurant. Once they turn three, you will have to purchase tickets or an annual pass for them. I just learned this lesson with my three-year-old! It was a change for my husband and I to purchase a big girl ticket for our “baby”, but it was time.

Ashley, make sure to take advantage of all the benefits available to Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. Complimentary parking at the theme parks, discounts on merchandise and Disney restaurants and special events just for passholders, are some of the perks you can look forward to in the coming year!

Since you will be spending a lot more time at the theme parks with your son, take a look at the Preschool Parents' Guide. There are lots of tips in there to keep your Mouseketeer busy and loving his time with you at the most magical place on earth!

I hope this information is helpful to you. Feel free to drop by again with any other questions you may have. Helping you with the details of your next visit is our pleasure!
