I have general admission to Disney California Adventure and tickets to the Oogie Boogie Bash on the same day, do we have to exit and re-enter for the Bash or what?

    Hi Toni! Welcome to planDisney!

If there’s one event I look forward to every Halloween season, it’s the Oogie Boogie Bash. The atmosphere, the costumes, the villains; it’s a night full of frightful delight! I’m thrilled you’ll be joining the spooky fun this year. Let’s get your ghostly game plan sorted out!

Now, if you already have both a standard theme park ticket and a reservation for Disney California Adventure on the same date as your Oogie Boogie Bash ticket, you’re in for a treat. You won’t need to exit and re-enter the park when the party kicks off. While your Oogie Boogie Bash ticket lets you enter up to three hours before the event begins, your regular admission means you can enjoy the park for the full day and then slide right into the nighttime festivities.

Here’s a handy Q-Tip to make your evening even smoother: all party guests need to check in and receive an event wristband, and the main entrances can get quite busy around party time. Since you’ll already be inside DCA, you’ll have access to in-park wristband distribution spots, usually located near locations like Avengers Campus or Carsland. These tend to have much shorter lines, so you can skip the crowds and enjoy more time soaking up the eerie ambiance!

Although we’re still waiting on all the official chills and thrills for this year’s event, one confirmed favorite returning is Villains Grove. This hauntingly artistic reimagining of Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is unlike anything else in the park. It’s moody, mesmerizing, and full of atmospheric magic. With haunting lights, eerie soundscapes, and shadowy nods to iconic Disney Villains, it’s a must-experience moment that’s both spooky and stunning.

And rumor has it that two new villains will be creeping into the treat trails this year, so keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest ghoulish gossip!

I hope this gives you a solid start to planning a night of tricks, treats, and spellbinding fun. Feel free to float back over to planDisney if more questions pop up. We're always here to lend a (ghostly) hand.

Wishing you a howling good time and a very Happy (early) Halloween!
