Deb from NJ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

gastric bypass surgery in January, then WDW in March with my Aunt (78). She is not the quick service type. I won't be able to eat much, but I'd still like to keep her company. What locations allow smaller portions and not just kids meals?

Hey there, hi there, Deb! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney.

I couldn't be happier to see that the magic of Walt Disney World Resort is calling, Deb, and you're answering the call by planning a magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth with your aunt next year. I know you must be getting so excited! Now, let's tie up your loose planning ends so you can sit back, relax and start your pixie-dusted countdown to the fun!

I think you will be happy to hear that there is no shortage of delicious and healthy dining options at Walt Disney World Resort, including a variety of options with smaller portions at several table-service dining locations. My favorite places to grab scrumptious small plates fit for any foodie are at the lounges. The lounges offer a casual table-service dining experience with options for appetizers, small plates and smaller portions. And the best part? No Advance Dining Reservations are needed! My favorite lounges for both dining and cocktails are Enchanted Rose at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar in EPCOT, Nomad Lounge in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I also recommend making Advance Dining Reservations at table-service locations that do not have prix-fix dining experiences, family-style meals, or buffets. When you arrive, you can ask to speak to a special-diets-trained Cast Member to discuss your dietary requests, such as smaller portions. They will make sure that you and your aunt can enjoy a lovely and relaxing meal, making magical memories together.

I hope this helps, Deb, and I hope you and your aunt have the most magical and memorable time together! Feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon,

    Mandy
