While room requests are not guaranteed, Disney does make every effort to accommodate guests who have a particular room preference.

The first step in making any room request is to call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY. Explain your room needs to them and ask them to make a note on your file. If you have anyone in your party with a medical need that would be impacted by a particular room type or location, make sure you mention that. An example of this would be that you want to be close to the bus stop because a member of the party has difficulty walking.

The second step is to follow-up on your room request about a week before you arrive at WDW. Former Moms Panelist Bret does a great job of explaining how to do this HERE.
