Hi gang. We are planning our very first Disney Cruise for next June and would love any helpful advice. It will be my husband and I, our boys ages 5 and 6, and my dad and stepmom. Looking at a 7 day on Dream in the Bahamas. Suggestions??

    Hi Heather!

I'm excited to hear you are planning your first Disney Cruise! Cruising is a great option for your family because Disney makes sure Guests of any age have a magical experience.  I have cruised with my parents and inlaws and the memories we made were priceless.  Whatever ship or itinerary you choose, you will be amazed by the impeccable service, spacious accommodations, spectacular entertainment, delicious food and wide variety of activities for all ages!

Disney Cruise Line has some wonderful resources to help you plan a magical voyage for you and your family.  I would first recommend ordering your free Cruise Planning DVD.  If you are interested in sailing out of Port Canaveral, you have two ship options the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.  The Dream does alternating three-and four-night Bahamian cruises while the Fantasy sails for seven-nights alternating between the Eastern and Western Caribbean.  My suggestion would be to either choose the four-night or seven-night.

Have a look at the planning DVD and the fantastic video podcasts on DisneyCruise.com  to get a first- hand look at what Disney looks like on the high seas. Also, please let me know how I can help you further!

Have a wonderful day and happy planning!
