Aloha, Ashley.
Welcome to planDisney! First, let me offer my congratulations on your upcoming marriage! What an exciting time in your life this is. You've found the one your heart's been dreaming of, and this is just the beginning of your happily ever after.
Nothing says "I lava you" like a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. My husband and I took a delayed honeymoon there 11 years ago and have been traveling back "home" every year since. Our trips have brought us closer together as a couple over the years, and I'm sure the same will be true for you and your Prince Charming.
Have you thought of scheduling some time during your vacation for romantic experiences you can have together? You could book a
horse-drawn carriage ride along the banks of the Sassagoula River and throughout the grounds at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, or you could learn about and mix your own sangria at
Sangria University at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Of course you also have to book a romantic dinner at one of Walt Disney World Resort's world-class
Fine/Signature Dining options! I suggest you look into
California Grill at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. Not only will you have a stunning view of all of Magic Kingdom Park while you dine in general, but if you book a dining reservation close to the start time of
Disney Enchantment, you're likely to have a breathtaking view of the fireworks as well.
My husband and I usually fly in late on a Friday night and don't arrive at our Disney Resorts Collection hotel until around 12:00 a.m. midnight or 1:00 a.m. on our trips, so I've been in your shoes many times before. I am happy to tell you that even if you get in at these late hours, you will still be able to check in to your Resort hotel. Front Desk Cast Members are available around the clock for this very reason and will be able to help you navigate the process when you arrive. If your reservation starts on a Friday night, but you don't get in until say 2:00 a.m., they will not make you wait until 3:00 p.m. the next day to access your room. After all, you are paying for that night's stay as well.
Have you considered utilizing
Direct-to-Room Service? It allows you to use
Online Check-In via My Disney Experience on a browser or in the
My Disney Experience App. You'll receive real-time updates in the app or via notifications on your phone that will tell you when your room is ready, so you can go straight to your room when you arrive instead of stopping by the Front Desk.
Ashley, I hope your trip is full of laughter and love. Enjoy making magical memories with your sweetheart!
Wishing you all the pixie dust,
Alyssa
