Have fully paid for hotel and parks for Jan 23-29 IF Covid forces us to cancel may I rebook? Cancel? What is your policy in these times??

Hello, Karen! It's nice to see a "Massachusetts" visitor here on planDisney, as that's where I'm from as well!  I know firsthand the time and planning it takes to get a family to Walt Disney World Resort from Massachusetts, and I know the disappointment you will all feel if you have to cancel.  While we all have made many modifications to our lives over the past couple of years it seems we may need to modify for a little longer!

I really hope you and your party are able to move forward with your hotel and Disney parks reservation, but if not, you will still have some wonderful days to look forward to on a future visit! There is certainly always the option to rebook, which may be possible for you to do right on your My Disney Experience account.  However, since your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is coming so quickly, I recommend contacting Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407)-939-1936 so that they are able to assist you with more definite answers based on your specific reservations.  While I know there is a refund for cancellations made between 2-29 days prior to arrival, it does incur a $200 cancellation fee.

I really feel like half of the fun of a Disney Parks vacation is the planning, so if you are feeling the need to cancel, at least remember that you're still able to make new plans for an upcoming "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah" day!  You may even get the chance to experience new attractions that are not open yet but will be in the future, such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

I'm hoping for the best for you and your party, Karen!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
