Fore! And welcome back to planDisney, Karen! I can't imagine anything more fun than a
Walt Disney World Resort trip with your grandsons, and the fall is my family's favorite time to visit. So let's see some ways you can tee it up and hit the mini links!
I'm happy to share that all the miniature golf courses at Walt Disney World Resort will accommodate guests using mobility scooters. You can choose from the courses at
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf and
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf. On the website, you can click the blue link for Safety, Accessibility, and Guest Policies for more details on this or any attraction. Karen, you'll be glad to know you can remain in your scooter while you keep track of your birdies and bogeys, but take it easy on your grandsons, okay? Maybe let them win one round!
I spoke to a chipping Cast Member who said there are a few ways to use
Disney Bus Transportation to get from your Disney Resort Hotel to the mini-golf courses, but the easiest to access will probably be the Winter Summerland course. You would take a bus from your resort to
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and then walk to the miniature golf course, which is right beside the water park entrance. Some resort hotels will need a bus transfer to get to Blizzard Beach, and I suggest you check closer to your trip to ensure this water park is open so buses will be running.
If you happen to be staying at the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, the Fantasia course is right across the street, and the easiest way to get to the Swan would be to take a bus from any theme park.
You can also opt for a fun
Minnie Van Service! These polka-dotted beauties will pick you up from your resort hotel and take you anywhere you'd like to go. This service will charge a fee like any rideshare, and you can schedule a pick-up from the Lyft app on your phone. It would be like riding in a very fancy golf cart!
Karen, I'm so glad you're not just going to caddy on your visit. Show those boys your golf skills! And
stop by planDisney anytime; I'm happy to keep your scorecard.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
