Welcome to planDisney, Joy! We are glad you brought your question to us today.
Returning to a World of Magic may look a little different than it has in the past. Walt Disney World Resort has adjusted operations and implemented
health and safety measures to protect Guests and Cast Members. In an effort to foster physical distancing, some attractions and experiences have been modified, and others remain closed during the initial
reopening period. At this time, many experiences from the
Enchanting Extras Collection, including animal experiences such as
Caring for Giants and
Up Close with Rhinos are temporarily unavailable. Although a date for when these experiences will return has not yet been announced, Walt Disney World Resort will be monitoring local and world conditions and adjusting operations accordingly. Feel free to check back with us closer to your trip, and also keep your eye on the "
Enchanting Extras Collection: Know Before You Go" page as well as the
Disney Parks Blog for any updates.
Even though these special nature experiences are currently unavailable, you can still view your favorite
Disney Animals at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail,
Maharajah Jungle Trek, and
Discovery Island Trails are open.
Elephants and
rhinos can usually be spotted while experiencing
Kilimanjaro Safaris. You may also enjoy
Winged Encounters – The Kingdom Takes Flight. The colorful macaws are so beautiful. Be sure to have your camera ready during this experience.
Joy, please visit planDisney as often as you like with any additional questions you may have. We are always happy to help.
