My friends and I plan on going to Disney world for a 2-day trip and we’re looking for the best option for buying theme park tickets. My brother is retired military and I was wondering if there was anyway to use his discount without having him with us?

    Welcome to planDisney, Cherysh!

From all of us at planDisney, thank you for your brother's service! I have some good news, your brother can purchase Magic Your Way tickets with a military discount for you and your friends without visiting Walt Disney World Resort too! He can buy these tickets from his local military base's MWR/ITT office or Shades of Green Resort. From the Shades of Green website, here are the prices (tax-free and subject to change) for two-day Magic Your Way tickets:

    • two-day MYW base ticket: $265
    • two-day MYW with Water Park and Sports Option: $341.25
    • two-day MYW with Park Hopper: $346.75
    • two-day MYW with Park Hopper Plus: $368.50

Base tickets allow you to visit one theme park each day. The Water Park and Sports Option tickets are base tickets, along with a certain number of visits to one of Walt Disney World's water parks, or for a round of golf/FootGolf at Disney's OakTrail Golf Course, 1 round of miniature golf at Disney's Fantasia Gardens and Fairways or Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Courses, or admission to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Park Hopper tickets give you the benefit of visiting multiple parks per day. Park Hopper Plus is Park Hopper and the Water Park and Sports option combined. If he decides to order through Shades of Green, have him fill out their Advance Ticket Form Request, and email to tickets@shadesofgreenresort.zendesk.com. A Ticket Representative will contact him for military status verification and method of payment.

Once you get your receipt, you will have a Disney Reservation # attached, and that is what you will use to link your tickets to everyone traveling with you on the My Disney Experience mobile app. These tickets do require Theme Park Reservations before arrival. If you have issues linking tickets, you can call the Existing Tickets line and a Cast Member can assist you.

Cherysh, I hope all of this information was helpful! Thank you again for visiting planDisney, and I hope you and your friends have a wonderful visit! Send me questions at any time if you need additional pixie dust planning your visit. You've got a friend in me!

    Magic Awaits!
