Friends of ours go to Disney each year. They buy a 5 day pass. When it expires they ask at their hotel if they can add one more day. They only get charged a VERY small amount (less than $20). Does anyone know about this?

    Hi Robert,

This option is available to anyone. You don't even need to be staying at a Disney hotel.

If you look at the pricing structure for Disney park tickets, the first three days are fairly expensive, then each day added after that gets cheaper and cheaper. For example, a two-day ticket costs more than $80 more than a one-day ticket. But a six-day ticket only costs about $8 more than a five-day ticket. (Prices subject to change.) You get a price break for staying longer.

What your friends have done is simply upgraded from a five-day ticket to a six-day ticket. Anyone can do this at any Disney hotel, ticket window, or guest relations office. You can upgrade at any point within 14 days of the first use of your ticket. If you want to upgrade the length of your ticket, all you have to do is pay the price difference between the ticket you have and the ticket you want. It's very easy.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
